Watling Hope’s FilterShield® filters out food and stops drain problems for Pub Carvery
08 July 2009
It’s not just fat, oil and grease that causes drainage problems for pubs and restaurants.
Food-waste from washing of pots and pans and the discharge from potato rumblers can cause major issues - especially for high-volume operations.
To prove the point Watling Hope have fitted two innovative FilterShield® dry-basket food filter traps at a Pub Carvery operation which had been experiencing drainage problems - with spectacular results.
One FilterShield® filter basket is fitted on the potato rumbler line where it is filtering out the food waste carried in the wastewater. Since the system was fitted the 25 litre capacity FilterShield® has required emptying up to 2-3 times per day and the site has not suffered any further drain problems.
The second FilterShield® is installed to intercept food sediment from the potwash sink and is requiring emptying approximately once per day.
