Watling Hope install new ITT FLYGT 'TOP' Package Pump Station at The Hogs Lodge P.H.
03 March 2009
ITT Water & Wastewater has designed and supplied a unique package pumping station to The Hogs Lodge P.H. in Clanfield, Hampshire.
Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. is investing nearly £1.8 million constructing a new 20 bedroom hotel, which will include refurbishing the public house during the Summer. The new facilities shall be fully operational in early August.
Watling Hope, one of the UK's leading independent waste water engineering specialists, were approached by Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. to provide a robust solution to manage the foul waste. The initial proposal to install an on-site sewage treatment plant was rejected in favour of the more environmentally-friendly pumped connection to the public sewers nearly 2km away.
ITT Water & Wastewater was contacted by Watling Hope to design and supply a Package Pumping Station to deal with the new demands. The solution comprised a TOP Package Pump Station, with a unique bespoke design incorporating increased 24-hr storage capacity of 15.9m3, whilst still incorporating the patented self-cleansing sump for normal operating conditions.
The package supplied included 2 Flygt N 3102 SH pumps, a compact control panel, kiosk, ENM-10 float switches for fully automatic operation and a remote alarm to be installed inside The Hogs Lodge P.H.
Works were completed sucessfully by Watling Hope over the course of four weeks in February 2009.
