Auto Grease Separation

Grease Shield AST and Grease Shield Defender

For gravity grease separators to remain effective they must be emptied at regular intervals.

For internal traps this can need to be as much as once a day which is one of the least-favoured kitchen jobs and is often overlooked. Failure to empty will cause the trap to cease being effective, allowing grease to pass on into the connecting drainage system.

To counter the problem of maintenance automatic grease traps have been developed.

These systems discharge the grease carried in the effluent into an external container automatically. ??By emptying the FOG as it collects systems consistently remove a high-level (over 95%) of fat, oil and grease making it ideal for areas where grease must not enter the drain-line such as on pumped drainage connections, sewage treatment plants etc.

Watling Hope have been supplying automatic grease separators since they first came to the market in the early 1990s. Our experience ranges from the more primitive units to the market leading Grease Shield®, a system which automatically discharges grease as well as food providing total drainage protection.

The Grease Shield range is as follows

Grease Shield® AST
The flagship of the Grease Shield range range the AST unit automatically removes and de-waters food waste and physically separates and then removes fat, oil and grease from kitchen effluent.

Grease Shield® DEFENDER
An automatic grease removal system with integrated FilterShield food filter ideal providing maximum drain protection from grease and food waste.
