Grease Goblin BioBloK

Tackling FOG directly

Grease Goblin BioBloK - Sewage Pump Station grease treatment

Grease build-up in pump stations can cause major problems.

Left untreated grease forms a layer on the surface of the sump which can stop floats from moving and if allowed to accumulate around the pumps themselves is likely to cause the pumps to over heat and burn-out.

To control grease build-up within pump stations Watling Hope have developed a dedicated biological sump treatment product - the Grease Goblin BioBloK.

The Grease Goblin BioBloK is a 'cake' of powdered micro-organisms held in a dormant spore state. The BioBloK is suspended in the sewage pump station at the midway point between the start and stop float.  This is so that as the effluent level rises it washes against the product causing the micro-organisms to be released and to treat the grease layer directly.

The right treatment programme for your pumping station

As the Grease Goblin BioBloK is located within the pump-well itself it continually releases grease degrading micro-organisms and continually treats FOG, providing ongoing protection 24 hours a day.

Frequency of replacement depends on the size of sump and is typically between 2-3 months. The Grease Goblin BioBloK can be replaced by onsite maintenance engineers or by Watling Hope as part of an automatic replacement programme.
