PROBLEM
For many years the site’s sewage and wastewater had been discharged to its own onsite treatment plant which was proving inadequate for its needs resulting in substandard final effluent quality.
The site needed to improve the quality of effluent but any works would need to be carried out whilst the Hotel was operating with minimal disruption. Ramsay Healthcare contacted Watling Hope.
SOLUTION
Watling Hope designed a bespoke WPL HIPAF® high performance aerated filter. The system was selected because of its low visual impact, ease of maintenance and proven ability to treat wastewater to a consistently high quality.
It was important also that the installation and commissioning of the new system should be undertaken without interruption of the activities of the hospital and with minimum inconvenience to patients and staff.
The system was installed by Watling Hope within 3 weeks during April 2009 with no interruption to the operation of the hospital.
